Help us give hope to those who need it most
Why we need your help
Dare 2 Express is only a small charity, and as such we don’t get the sort of exposure that bigger charities get and can take for granted. Fundraising for us helps to spread the word about the life-changing work we do, and also ensures we get the vital funds we need to continue helping people at their lowest point.
Recent times with all of the lockdowns etc. have been undeniably tough and traumatic for a lot of people, especially for those already suffering with their mental health. We need your help to ensure these tough times don’t discourage, deter, or define who they are. You can help someone rediscover themselves and their joy for life again!
On average it costs £450 to give someone the help they need. These are people who slip through the already over-stretched NHS’ cracks and can’t afford to see a specialist privately.

Your Dare2 Challenge
It can certainly be said that our supporters don’t lack imagination when it comes to raising funds for Dare 2 Express. Whether you’re the adventurous type, an athlete or prefer to do it from the comfort of your home, what matters is that you care about people struggling with mental health issues.
Not everyone can walk to the South Pole or run the length of the UK, but you don’t have to be superman/woman to help those in need. Whether it’s raising £10 or £1000, organising a cake sale or knitting the longest scarf you can in 24 hours, we understand that everyone has different demands on their time and energy when it comes to fundraising for Dare 2 Express.
Every single penny you raise will help us to help those in desperate need, and we are so grateful for any fundraising you do for us.
What is amazing, is that when people like you care, it doesn’t take very long for your friends and family start caring too. This is how we grow our network and ensure that we can continue to deliver our vital services. Your fundraising could literally save someone’s life, which means everybody will think that you are awesome for doing it, so really it’s win-win!
John explains all about the Dare2 challenge campaign and why we need your support in the videos below.
Choose Your Challenge
Your Dare2 challenge could be literally anything you like. There’s no limit to the imaginative ways in which you can help us raise money and have fun while you’re doing it.
That said, we’d really like to see our fundraisers try something outside of their comfort zone; to dare to try something different. Obviously, that doesn’t have to be something physical, but if that’s your thing then great. If not, you could challenge yourself to read a book a week, or cook for your family once a week for a month.
Whatever you decide to do, you’ll be making sure that people suffering with mental health issues get the support and help they need.
