David Paice - London Irish and England
A long serving member of London Irish, representing them for a staggering 250 games of first club rugby, has seen him called to the England squad numerous times as hooker. An accomplished thrower and renowned scrummager David has given a substantial amount to both club and country. Injuries kept him out of the 2013 squad, but he remains firmly in the England management eyes.
Arguably his finest moment playing in the only England team to have beaten the All Blacks in the past 11 years leading up to the victory in 2012.
David says “that was a good day, we invited John and his wife Heidi to the match as guests where he sat with my wife (his cousin) in the player’s family section. I’d say that was a little uncomfortable for him come 10 mins from the end”.
“John approached me about becoming an ambassador for dare2express and I jumped at the chance. Not only is what he doing a truly elite event, but the reasoning behind him doing it, raising awareness for depression is honourable and both myself and my wife Alyce are proud to be associated with it”.
“We wish him all the best of luck and hope he raises as much awareness about depression as possible”.
